Pitch House - Iñaqui Carnicero

The house is located in a small neighbourhood on the west boundaries of Madrid in a place called “los Peñascales”, that mean something as well as great stones. The plot is characterized to have a great slope oriented to the south and have two great granite rocks partially covered by moss. The structure of the house at a functional level as formal is explained perfectly in section. The ceiling of the underground level generates the white floor made of calcareus stone that constitutes the noble plane where the daily life is developed. The first floor is been thought like a closed box made of concrete that floats over the glass of the ground floor. The independence of levels is only interrupted by two double heights that put in relation both spaces described previously. Double House - Langarita Navarro Arquitectos

Moving their home to the outer limits of a small town in the province of Zaragoza is the wish of a newly married couple about to retire. Embodied in their decision lies the conviction that it is possible to both undergo a radical change and still enjoy the comforts of their previous life. The land is part of an olive grove, annexed to the perimeter of the village. The house is positioned on the north side along the length of the developable limit in order to gain a small garden and a vegetable patch to the south and have privacy from the street. The inside of the house is extended on the ground floor to resolve the programme’s requirements. The central nucleus which gives access to the upper floors separates two areas, of non-referential character, serves as a garage and party area. Min House - Pop-Arq

The house is part of a typical Buenos Aires condominium typology called “PH”. The houses are aligned in a very long and narrow lot, and connected through a corridor. In this case, the unit is located in the middle of the condominium with no direct connection to the street, opening to its own patio.
